Trade-in MacBook Memory Upgrade Kit Offered by OWC
Looking for a RAM upgrade for your new MacBook or MacBook Pro? Other World Computing (OWC) now offers a specially designed 4GB upgrade.
It took only a day after the release of the Apple’s new MacBooks and MacBook Pros for OWC to announce its 4GB DDR3 memory upgrade kit, available for both lines.
OWC includes a pair of matching 2GB PC3-8500 DDR3 memory modules which are specifically designed for use in the new MacBook and MacBook Pro models.
The company offers a trade-in of $7.50 back for each GB of old memory. The upgrade itself, before any trading in, costs $140. The kit comes with a lifetime warranty and a money-back policy.
Apple offers a 4GB RAM version of the new 15″ MacBook Pro, but it charges $500 more for this version as it upgrades other aspects of the computer as well. There is no 4GB RAM version of the new 13″ MacBook currently for sale by Apple.
