Packard Bell Launches iPower GX

Packard Bell has launched their newest laptop in the iPower line, the GX.

The iPower GX features a 17″ high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It runs off an Intel Core 2 Quad 9100 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS chipset with 1GB dedicated GDDR3 VRAm.

The machine can play both regular DVD movies and Blu-Ray discs at full HD resolution. The machine itself has 4GB of RAM and features a heft, gamer-pleasing 640GB HDD (two separate 320GB HDDs). There’s an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, as well as WiFI, gigabit LAN port, 3 USB ports, 1 FireWire port, Bluetooth (optional), integrated biometric scanner, and a 5-in-1 card slot.

The machine will first launch in October in Europe for $1499 Euro.
