New Laptop Cooling System by Intel
Introducing “Laminar Air Flow Technology,” which uses air layers for cooling laptop hardware.
During IDF (Intel Developer Forum) 2008 in Taiwan, Intel displayed its new cooling system for notebooks. The new system, “Laminar Air Flow Technology,” is designed particularly for thin notebooks.
Cool air layers will float between the case and the hardware, reducing the operating temperature and providing cooling. This is the same basic methodology used in turbojet engines.
Several manufacturers have already scooped up liscences, so we can expect to see this product on the market relatively soon.
