Acer Launches First 4G WiMax Laptops

Acer has launched the markets first 4G WiMAX laptops, the Aspire 4930-6862 and the Aspire 6930-6771.

These two notebooks are currently being sold in Baltimore, where the first WiMax network has been launched.

Both laptops run an Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz processor, 3GB of RAM, integrated Intel 4500HMHD graphics, 320GB HDD, 5-in-1 flash card reader, WiMAX Certified WAN/802.11a/b/g/n, Acer’s Crystal Eye Webcam, Dolby Home Theater, and a SuperMulti Dual Layer optical drive/burner.

The Aspire 4930-6862 features a 14.2″ display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, while the 6930-6771 features a 16″ display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

Both are loaded with Windows Vista Premium, and priced at $900.
