Toshiba Qosmio F15-AV201 – For All Seasons?
The modern family these days have many ways to divert them after a busy day in the workplace or at school. The TV, that most of us stare at like a legal stalker. The DVD so we can experience the latest blockbusters without leaving the comfort of our own homes.
The stereo for when our eyes need a well earned break, and of course the PC for viewing our favourite websites, playing the latest games, or just catching up on a little work at home.
But in our cash rich and time poor society who has time to source these four items and be completely happy with each component?
What if we could have all in one neat little multimedia package, that looked like a laptop? Well, your prayers could be answered with the new line of laptops from Toshiba and Sony.
The new Toshiba F15-AV201 Qosmio (pronounced koss-mee-oh) AV Notebook PC is one of the new “AV” (audio visual) series of notebooks that are set to take the market by storm.
This Pentium M powered laptop has a 15.4″ LCD WXGA enhanced TruBrite display which is a lot brighter than a standard LCD monitor, lots of ram, a versatile DVD writer, a TV tuner, and some nice speakers with a little bit of technology to give you some full stereo specs.
All of this is held together by the windows media centre software provided kindly by Sir Bill of Microsoft.
Will it take off though? Well, Toshiba have reported that already a growing percentage of notebook sales from them are of the AV series, looks like the technology that we might want tomorrow, is here and being used today.
